Earthly Glorification ! / Designer Trends .
For the last five years the rich Arab Golf States been holding international sports tournaments ,specially Tennis tournaments .In Doha – Qatar , Dubai , U A E -Abu – Dahbi without even having one male or female athlete participant to compete in these tournaments.They grant the winners millions of dollars in prizes.They want to be exposed so the West would notice their progress as developed States.They want to become tourists attraction destination.
The Sheiks , the Princes , the Kings of the Arab Golf States consider themselves the legitimate owner of the oil .They are dissipating their oil money by the billions on self glorification.They are building worship houses , sport coliseums , sanctuaries , Islands in the sea , Five stars hotels , entertainment centers , amusement parks , Malls , skyscrapers and naming these structures after themselves. They want to immortalize themselves earthly . Even the kingdom of Saudi Arabia was named after it’s founder King Abdul Aziz Bin Saud.
The late Sheik Zaid ,the founder of U A E build a prayer house a replica of Taj – Mahal and it was named after himself. The world’s tallest tower stands in Dubai .For Saudi Arabia ,this is unacceptable .The kingdom decided to build yet the tallest building ever build 3700 feet tall.Taller than the one in Dubai ( 3400)The new tower will be build in Jeddah – Saudi Arabia’s 2nd.major city.The tower is the idea of prince Walid bin Talal the 3rd.wealthiest man on EARTH.It will cost initially 750 million dollars and up.The tower will be designed by a British architect company and it will be completed in 2018 . . This is how the Sheiks think about themselves.The absolute Rulers ,they disburse the OIL MONEY as they wish without tiniest consideration for their citizens .No democracy , no equality , no women’s rights , and no opposition to the royal decrees.,zero tolerance.
150 million Arabs in the Arab world are living under the poverty line.In Egypt 5 million persons have no place to live in except the cemeteries.Millions of Arabs in the poor Arab countries wake up at 4AM to stand in lines in front of the bakeries to get few pita bread to feed their children.
This is how these Sheiks show their human side, their merciless hearts and their blind selfishness.,toward their poor brothers.The Arab Spring dawned in Jan. 2010.At the present time this Spring is taking his last breath in Syria, Egypt , Tunisia , Libya , Bahrain (the ruler Sheik AHMAD rewrote the constitution to become a King of Bahrain).The rest of the Arab countries will follow the trend. The terrorists groups are running the show every day there are bomb attacks some where.
In the WEST the constitutions declares very clearly the separation between religion and States. In the Arab world the Governments own every prayer house and employe the attendants and pay their salaries.

It is a horrific situation and so much is not known by many people here. It is good you speak out and inform. It is humanely wrong that a few have so much power over so many. And not in a good way.

What little I see, horrifies me. Yet living with a certain amount of dyfunctionalism growing up along with sexual abuse, I can feel their pain and sorrow.

I lived in the UAE for a period of time, so I know exactly what you are talking about. So much wealth and so little being used for a good cause. Like you said, there are some people who are so poor they sleep in the cemeteries. How could anyone look and know of such things and still have a heart within them. I’d have to think the heart died a long time ago. And that’s what immense wealth and power does to most people – it makes them dead to others. Imagine all the good that could be done with that wealth. It’s quite tragic to see another tall tower go up into the sky in their competition to build the highest building, and down below on earth people are struggling to feed their families.
Thank you Jalal for bringing awareness and always speaking about things that are important to humanity. May things change one day.

It’s terrible that this happens. It happens all over the world. There are many billionaires who do not think about the people, only their own interests. Unfortunately, humble people can not change anything, but we can talk about it!

I agree, except for the fact that there is not much of a separation between the state and religion in the west- at least not as much as I thought.
